What we collect

• A random install ID. It is created when you install the extension, is not tied to your Google or YouTube account, and is used to count free summaries and Pro status.
• Your IP address. Used only for abuse limits (installs and free summaries per address per day).
• IDs of the videos you asked key points for, and anonymous interface events (panel opened, button clicked and similar).
• The transcript text of the video you request key points for. It is sent to Anthropic so the model can write the key points. We keep the finished key points as a cache by video ID and language, so they are not generated twice.
• Your email for the receipt and payment details if you buy Pro. The payment is processed by YooKassa; we never receive or store card data.

What we do not do

We sell nothing and share nothing with third parties for advertising. There are no ads or third-party trackers on the site or in the extension. The extension does not read your browsing history, other pages or your Google account data: it runs only on YouTube video pages and talks to skimtube.online.

Who receives data

Anthropic (processing the transcript text into key points) and YooKassa (payments). SkimTube servers are located in Germany.

How to delete your data

Email simplescribe@yandex.com with your install ID or the email used at checkout. We will delete the records linked to them. The key points cache is not tied to a person and is stored by video ID.
