FAQ

Is it free?

The transcript is free always. You get 3 AI summaries to try. After that, Pro.

Does it work on videos without captions?

SkimTube reads the captions YouTube already has, including auto-generated ones. If a video has none, there is nothing to read and the panel says so.

Which languages are supported?

Any video language that has captions. Key points come out in English or Russian, your choice in the panel.

Where does my data go?

The transcript of a video is sent to Anthropic to build the key points and is kept as a cache of those points. We sell nothing and show no ads. Details are in the privacy policy.
